Summer seems to be fading away during these light autumn months that will be followed with the upcoming winter months. Therefore, if you’re interested to know what happen to be the latest hairstyles trends for this year, read on.
This autumn/winter, it’s all about the texture. From all the notable runways such as Ralph Lauren, Marni, Vera Wang and many others to various catalogues and magazines, such as Vogue, it is evident that all the hair stylists are opting for loose, textured windswept waves.
As far as the hair color goes, platinum blond was the most significant color on the runway with almost all models sporting that color. However, if you cannot opt for platinum blond, you need not worry as there were many other hair colors that were spotted. One of them being strawberry blond and ash-grey blond. Moving away from blonds, many darker hues were also spotted. Our favorite were the deep chocolate that was spotted at the Prabal Gurung runway and an ashy black hair color which most of the models sported at the Tony Burch fashion show. Furthermore, what we loved about the Prabal Gurung and Tory Burch runways was the tousled hair look that is so in these days. Other hair colors that we loved for this year’s autumn and winter seasons are dark auburn spotted at the Rodarte fashion show and warm copper that was seen at the Tommy Hilfiger fashion show.
There is no denying that whatever color your hair is be it blond or brown, tousled hair was definitely a popular hair style on this season’s runway. Therefore, if you want to try this trend for a day, days, weeks or the entire autumn and winter months, here is how to do it:
Hair stylists explain that the key to getting windswept and tousled waves is to have healthy hair. This is not very hard to achieve. Apart from drinking a lot of water and eating a healthy diet, say no to hot styling tools which you won’t need this season anyway if you want to follow the latest hair trends and using the correct shampoo, conditioner according to your hair type and then hair mask to maintain your hair. Once you have nice healthy hair to toss around, you can easily create windswept tousled waves with hardly any products or heat.
All you need to do is after shampooing and conditioning, use any thickening or volumizing spray. It is also best to use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner to give you that extra volume. After your hair is dry, use the thinking spray and brush it out. Next, all you need are your hands, scrunch up your hair in your hands, shake and tousle them until your hair achieves that tousled look.
Next, you can do whatever you please with your hair, either create a messy bun, a messy braid, or even a half up do or you can also let them fall naturally. Either ways, your hair will look great!
