It’s very important to take care of your hair. If you want your hair to be shiny, healthy and strong, you need to put it under the right treatment. There are different types of masks for different types of hair. Depending on what type yours is, you should decide what kind of mask you should use. I’m going to show you five easy-to-make-at-home masks for different types of hair.
1.Homemade masks for dry, damaged hair
If you hair is dry and damaged, what you need to do is to provide it with the needed oil and moisture. This is going to make it shinier and healthier. The ingredients that can make your hair feel better are: bananas, honey, avocado, eggs, glycerin, and gelatin.
How to make a honey mask:
Mix ½ cup of honey with not more than 2 tablespoons of olive oil or 1-2 tablespoons of avocado/egg yolk. Apply the mixture into your damp hair and let it sit for about 20 minutes. After that, wash with warm water. Use this mask once a month.
How to make a banana mask:
Peel and mash 1 banana and after that add 2 teaspoons of honey or yogurt. Mix them well. Apply the mixture on your hair and if you like, you can put on a shower cap. Let it sit for about 10 minutes. After that, wash your hair and you’re done.
2.Homemade masks for oily hair
If your hair is oily, you need a mask that can control the excess oils. Ingredients that can help you to get through this situation are: strawberries, lemon juice, baking soda and apple cider.
How to make a lemon juice mask:
Whip 1 egg and after that mix it with 1 tablespoon of salt and some lemon juice. Apply the mixture onto your hair. Let it sit for about 30 minutes and then rinse your hair with tepid water. After that, wash your hair with shampoo… and this is it.
How to make a strawberry mask:
All you have to do is to blend ½ or ¼ cup of strawberries and then run the mix through a sieve. Let it sit on your hair for about 10 minutes and then rinse with water.
3.Homemade masks for combination hair
Combination hair is both oily and damaged. Ingredients that can help you with that problem are: baking soda and yogurt, eggs and apple cider, mayonnaise and strawberries.
How to make a baking soda and yogurt mask:
Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of yogurt. Apply the mixture on your scalp for 10-15 minutes and then wash your hair with a shampoo.
